Pa O’Dwyer’s Strongman Career
According to Strongman Archives, O’Dwyer made his competitive strongman debut in May 2014 at the Giants Live Poland contest with an 11th-place finish. Of the 23 sanctioned contests O’Dwyer has appeared in during his career, his most significant show was his win at the 2018 UK’s Strongest Man contest.
Aside from that victory, O’Dwyer has reached the podium on three occasions:
- 2017 UK’s Strongest Man — Third Place
- 2019 UK’s Strongest Man — Third Place
- 2022 Britain’s Strongest Man — Second Place
At 37 years of age, O’Dwyer will be one of the older athletes competing in Myrtle Beach, SC. However, the adrenaline boost of a late entry to the biggest contest of the year could be the surge he needs to make his first WSM Final appearance.
