Think of your favorite day of the year, add bikes, tones of racing, and one of the most beautiful backdrops you can think of, and you have the Sea Otter Classic 2023. This is perhaps the single biggest bicycle gear and accessory show in North America, with over 1,000 vendors and 300 individual races to see here.
Day two of our favorite gear and accessories from the Sea Otter Classic is here. Some of our favorites include an ultralight and padded saddle from Wove Bike, some new bikes from Vitus, and a matchy-match CeramicSpeed pulley and cage system.

Wove Bike has released a new saddle at Sea Otter Classic called the Wove Mags. Here’s the lowdown: The Mags is a short-nose saddle that weighs just 126 grams, but is more padded than just about any performance-oriented saddle I’ve ever seen. Perhaps only the Specialized Mirror saddles come close. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
The saddle comes in at 240 mm long. The unidirectional round carbon rails are said to be extremely strong, with seatpost bolts breaking before the rails do. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
Wove says that there is no weight limit for their high-end saddles, surprising against the likes of an Ergon SR Allroad Core Pro saddle or others that have a weight limit. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
Vitus has a range of cool bikes recently released. This is the Venon Evo, which is a fast gravel and allroad bike that they think the majority of drop bar cyclists really want. Here’s the bike set up with a 2x drivetrain and 28 mm tires… (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)And the same Venon Evo frame in a different build kit, including a 1x drivetrain and 40mm knobby gravel tires. The bike comes with fender mounts, but no bottom bracket bottle cage one might expect from a gravel bike. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)Stay tuned as we have a Vitus Venon Evo in for review soon. Like Vitus, we think this might just be the bike that most drop bar bike riders are looking for. CeramicSpeed has brought a range of their OSPW X off-road low-friction cages to Sea Otter Classic. Shown here are some limited-edition cages in two limited-edition Cerakote finishes. Here’s one in “Icy Blue.” (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)Fans of the color orange (I know you’re out there) will be happy to find a “Fiery Orange” Cerakote finish of the CeramicSpeed OSPW X. This is paired with a gold finish for the pulleys. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
Huh, it looks not dissimilar to the Fox Factory fork in orange with Kashima coat. Curious. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
Ventum has a new electric gravel bike coming soon called the ES1 G. The Ventum ES1 G is a Class 3 electric bike offering pedal assist up to 28 mph. Additionally, it offers 700c x 50 mm tire clearance, internal cable routing with a standard stem, and Ventum’s aero tube shapes. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
Interestingly, this ES1 G build uses the new Shimano XT Di2 drivetrain (powered by the central battery) and a SRAM UDH derailleur hanger. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
The top tube carries an integrated power button and and assist controller. Up top is a small Shimano display to the right of the stem. (Photo: Alvin Holbrook/CyclingTips)
