This week, Innsbruck-Stubai, Austria, hosts the second-ever combined Trail World Championships and World Mountain Running Championshipsnow called the World Mountain and Trail Running Championshipsfrom June 7 to 10, 2023.
We’re covering the 80-kilometer (actually 84.9k/54 miles) race starting at 6:30 am local time on Friday, June 9, which is 10:30 pm on Thursday, June 8, in US Mountain Daylight Time.
During the race, runners will climb a massive 6,500 meters (21,000 feet) with even more descending as the course trends from the village of Neustift up in the Stubai Valley to the lower altitude city of Innsbruck.
